UAC (User Account Control) is another Microsoft workaround in their never-ending battle with hackers as Microsoft tries to keep us Windows users safer.<\/p>\n

But turning off UAC isn’t a good idea. But we all know too well how those UAC prompts can get annoying. There’s a little program (330KB) that can tame UAC for you without turning it off. And before we go any further, when you go the site you won’t see Windows 7 listed – but we assure you that the program works well with Windows 7. We’ve tested in on Windows 7 32bit and 64bit computers and it works great.<\/p>\n

After you download and install the program called Tweak UAC<\/a>, open it and “Switch UAC to the quiet mode” option. This will prevent some of those annoying UAC warning prompts — and a lot of clicking.<\/p>\n
