Open your Start menu which is organized from A to Z.\u00a0\u00a0 All programs beginning with the letter &#8220;A&#8221; are listed under &#8220;A&#8221;. All programs beginning with &#8220;B&#8221; are listed under &#8220;B&#8221; and so on. So, what do you do if you open your start menu and see a list of programs in alphabetical order &#8212;\u00a0 #, A, B, C &#8212; and want to open Windows Accessories listed way down in the W&#8217;s? Yes, EB, you can scroll down to the W&#8217;s, but here&#8217;s a faster way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"auto-style774\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><span class=\"auto-style787\"> <span class=\"auto-style7\"><span class=\"auto-style786\"> <span class=\"auto-style9\"><span class=\"auto-style804\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2021\/fast-nav.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"289\" height=\"309\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"auto-style774\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><span class=\"auto-style787\"> <span class=\"auto-style7\"><span class=\"auto-style786\"> <span class=\"auto-style9\">Click on any letter (see circled letters above) and you&#8217;ll see this:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"auto-style804\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2021\/fast-nav1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"246\" height=\"473\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">So instead of scrolling through 10,000 programs looking for &#8220;Windows Accessories&#8221;, she can go right to the W&#8217;s just by clicking on the &#8220;W&#8221;. You&#8217;ll go straight to the W section of the Start menu without having to scroll through all the letters between A and W.\u00a0 Likewise if she were looking for the electric shocker she uses to make sure I don&#8217;t fall asleep, she could just click on &#8220;E&#8221; and look for &#8220;Electric Shocker&#8221; and give me a jolt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The clock icon shows you rec<span class=\"auto-style774\"><span class=\"auto-style787\"><span class=\"auto-style7\"><span class=\"auto-style786\"><span class=\"auto-style9\">ently installed programs. And if you see letters that are grayed out, that simply means you don&#8217;t have any programs that start with those letters.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 24pt;\">Windows 11<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Windows 11&#8217;s main start menu is a list of your frequently used programs but not a list of all programs installed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2024\/start11.png\" alt=\"Windows 11 Main Start Menu - Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"600\" height=\"444\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">But if you click on &#8220;All apps&#8221;, you&#8217;ll get an alphabetical list of all programs and apps installed that looks quite like the Windows 10 Start menu. See?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2024\/start11a.png\" alt=\"Windows 11 Start Menu - Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"600\" height=\"662\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">So, just like in Windows 10, if you&#8217;re looking for, let&#8217;s say, &#8220;Windows Tools&#8221;, instead of scrolling down through the entire menu to get to the &#8220;W&#8221; section, just click on any of the letters (see above) to get the menu shown below. Then just click on the &#8220;W&#8221; &#8216;to go straight to the W section of the Start menu and click on &#8220;Windows tools&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2024\/start11c.png\" alt=\"Windows 11 Start Menu - Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"522\" height=\"653\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;W&#8221; section of the menu will immediately appear.
