First, for those who don&#8217;t know what PSD files are, they are the native format for Adobe Photoshop. No one could get access to your computer unless you gave them access. There are several and I don&#8217;t know for sure which one they used, but the two programs scammers and miscreants seem to favor and use most often are TeamViewer and AnyDesk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">To locate any remote access programs on your computer you can sort installed programs and apps by date. If you know the approximate date you gave access to someone then you&#8217;ll have a good idea as to the date the intruder installed the remote connection software. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You can check installed programs and apps, and the date they were installed, on Windows 11 this way: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">1. Right-click the Start button<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">2. Click Settings<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">3. In Settings click on Apps &gt; Installed apps <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In Apps &gt; Installed apps, you can sort the apps installed on your computer by date. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">See the screenshot below&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2023\/date-installed1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"600\" height=\"546\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If you know the date your computer was accessed it should be easy to find any remote connection software the miscreant installed (like Anydesk, TeamViewer, etc.). The list of installed programs is listed (by default) with the most recently installed programs at the top. if you see a program you&#8217;re not familiar with &#8211; use Google and search for it. If you find the remote connection software he\/she installed on your PC, click on it, then click &#8220;Uninstall&#8221;. The reason for locking your computer is so no one else can see what you\u2019re doing or so that no one else can disturb your work. It\u2019s really not very useful if you\u2019re the sole user on the PC or if you don\u2019t have other people wandering around \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Locking your PC requires you to unlock your PC to use it again. Turn the computer off using the power switch and leave it off for five minutes, then turn it back on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If the computer is still not responding to your clicks, make sure the batteries in your mouse are charged (or put fresh batteries in if it\u2019s not a rechargeable mouse), or try plugging the wireless receiver into a different port. If it\u2019s not a wireless mouse, try plugging it into a different USB port. If all else fails, try a different mouse. If you don\u2019t have a spare mouse, you can buy a cheap wireless mouse for $15 or so. It\u2019s always good to have a spare mouse, just in case. As for your touchpad starting to work all of a sudden, many touchpads turn off when a mouse is detected and turn back on when a mouse is not detected (not working, unplugged, etc.). Type CMD in the taskbar search<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">#2. When you see the Command prompt appear in the search results, click \u201cRun as administrator\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">#3. In the administrator Command prompt window type DISKPART and press Enter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">#4. In the Command prompt diskpart window type LIST DISKS<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Since your computer seems fairly new, has an 8th-generation processor, and meets all the other Windows 11 requirements, I\u2019m surprised your drive\u2019s partition style is not already GPT. Trying to convert a disk from MBR to GPT using Windows Disk Management could cause you to lose data. Windows Disk Management cannot convert a drive with partitions on it. But there are free tools you can download that can help you convert a drive from MBR to GPT without losing data.
