With all these settings in one location, you  \t\t\t\twill save time, plus you don\u2019t need to remember where each  \t\t\t\tindividual setting is located.<\/p>\n<p>To open Windows Mobility Center click Windows Key + X<\/p>\n<p>Using Windows Mobility Center<\/p>\n<p>Windows Mobility Center displays many of the most commonly used  \t\t\t\tlaptop settings, such as brightness, volume, battery status, and  \t\t\t\twireless network status. Since some settings are dependent on  \t\t\t\tyour laptop manufacturer, there may be some variations on what  \t\t\t\toptions you will have access to, but the basics should be  \t\t\t\tavailable on most laptops. Click an icon to quickly open options  \t\t\t\tfor that setting. For example, click the Battery Status icon to  \t\t\t\topen Power Options to select a power plan.<\/p>\n<p>Brightness &#8211; Move the slider to temporarily adjust display \/ LCD  \t\t\t\tbrightness.<\/p>\n<p>Volume &#8211; Select Mute check box, or move the slider to adjust the  \t\t\t\tspeaker volume.<\/p>\n<p>Battery Status &#8211; View how much charge remains on your battery  \t\t\t\t(or select a power plan from the list).<\/p>\n<p>Wireless Network &#8211; View the status of your wireless network  \t\t\t\tconnection and\/or turn your wireless network adapter on or off.  \t\t\t\tIf the on\/off button is not available you may need to rely on  \t\t\t\tthe hardware switch on your laptop. You can check documentation  \t\t\t\tprovided with your laptop if needed.<\/p>\n<p>Screen Rotation &#8211; (Available on Tablet PCs) Change the screen  \t\t\t\torientation from portrait to landscape, or vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>External Display &#8211; Connect an additional monitor to your laptop,  \t\t\t\tor customize the display settings.<\/p>\n<p>Sync Center &#8211; View the status of an in-progress file sync, start  \t\t\t\ta new sync, set up a sync partnership, or change your settings  \t\t\t\tin Sync Center.
