Not many things bog down your computer more than having too many programs\/apps starting with Windows. <\/span><\/p>\n There are a lot of programs and apps that will add themselves to Windows startup without you being notified. Over time, unless you check your startups frequently and manage them, the list of startup apps and programs can grow. And this can hinder your computer’s performance. Why? Because every program or app that starts with Windows constantly runs in the background using computer resources.<\/span><\/p>\n Tell Windows you want to be notified whenever a program or app adds itself to Windows startups<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n If you’re using Windows 11 and you want to be notified whenever a program or app adds itself to Windows startups, here is what you need to do.<\/span><\/p>\n Open Settings (Windows Key + i)<\/span><\/p>\n Click on System in the left sidebar, then select the Notifications section on the right. <\/span><\/p>\n The settings page for notifications will appear.<\/span><\/p>\n Scroll down to the bottom of the notifications page. <\/span><\/p>\n Just above Additional settings, you\u2019ll see “Startup App Notification”\u00a0 which is switched off by default. Some will be “Enabled” and some will be “Disabled”. There should be more programs\/apps “Disabled” than\u00a0 “Enabled”. Your antivirus\/security software always needs to be enabled. You do not need browsers, email programs, chat programs, word processors, or image editors starting with Windows.
