And it\u2019s easy to do. To change your file &amp; folder options to make opening files and folders with a single click the default action&#8230;this tip is for you!<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Type File Explorer Options in the taskbar search. Press Enter when you see File Explorer Options appear in the search results.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In File Explorer Options, click on the &#8220;General&#8221; tab at the top. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2023\/singleclick1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"567\" height=\"718\" \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In the Folder Options, &#8220;General&#8221; dialog, tick the circle next to \u201cSingle-click to open an item (point to select)\u201d. You\u2019ll see that when you do that \u201cUnderline icon titles only when I point at them\u201d is also selected. We suggest you leave it that way, the other choice \u201cUnderline titles consistent with my browser\u201d can get messy. Then click \u201cApply then OK\u201d. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">That\u2019s all there is to it. After you change these settings, you can open files and folders with a single click. If you decide you want to go back to double-clicking to open files and folders, just go back to the Folder Options &gt; General dialog and tick the circle next to \u201cDouble-click to open an item (single-click to select)\u201d.
