If you don\u2019t mind doing a reset that would be the fastest and more certain fix. The only thing you\u2019d lose by doing a reset would be any programs you installed. A reset saves all your files. I have had the program (lifetime key) on our computers since 2011 and I have had a slight problem with it since my new computer, asking me to upgrade every time I boot my machine, and was not very happy with their customer service to try and remedy the problem, seems they did not want to bother since I paid for it so long ago. We have had Emsisoft for many years and are happy with that program. SuperAntiSpyware used to be one of our recommended programs. One of the reasons we recommend Emsisoft is because it replaces things like SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, etc. So, we recommend that you DO NOT install SuperAntiSpyware. Guardio makes promises it cannot possibly keep (like so many other scammy products) and all those \u201cwe protect you from everything\u201d type promises that are so typical of scammy products only give users a false sense of security.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Nothing can automatically protect you from everything and anything that tells you it can isn\u2019t being honest. So, while Guardio may not be a scam, it makes promises it cannot possibly keep. Also, Guardio is expensive if you opt for the full version Our advice? Steer clear of it. Last few weeks I have experienced Windows Explorer stopping to respond. Sometimes it recovers but usually, I must \u2018kill\u2019 it brutally. My Windows 10 [Pro 22H2, Hebrew] system has 5 user accounts of all types (local and Microsoft, Admins, regular &amp; Guest), BUT the odd thing is that this malfunction occurs only for one of them (Microsoft account., whether defined as admin or regular). Have you encountered such a peculiar issue? Do you have an idea how to cope with it? When a computer has multiple user accounts, one of them can become corrupted without affecting the other user accounts. While not common, we have occasionally encountered this.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The solution is to create a new user account and use File Explorer to manually move the contents of the User account folders (Documents, Pictures, Music, Videos\/Desktop) from the corrupted account to the new account and then delete the corrupted account. At the very least, you should block the number. You should also report this scam to your local authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">As for the new laptop, some questions are your personal preference, such as a touch screen, the size of the screen, etc. The minimum requirements would be a 256GB SSD hard drive or 1 TB HDD, 8 GB of RAM, and a decent multi-core processor (i3, i5, i7, AMD Ryzen, etc.). You should also make sure the processor is supported in Windows 11.
