Take a Snippet of what\u2019s on your screen without any 3rd-party software<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Press Windows Key + Shift + S to open the snipping bar. Drag the cursor over the area you want to capture. The area you snipped will be saved to your clipboard. You can paste it into MS Paint (type PAINT in the taskbar search to open PAINT) or your favorite image editor. Then give your snippet a name and save it in PNG or JPG format.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>2.\u00a0 Pause Windows updates until a more convenient time<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">To temporarily delay updates for your device:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">1. Right-click on the Start button and click \u201cSettings\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">2.\u00a0 a. Windows 11: In Settings click on Windows Update.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">b. Windows 10: In Settings click on \u201cUpdate &amp; Security\u201d then choose Windows Update<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">3. Select \u201cPause updates\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Or better yet \u2013\u00a0 reschedule the update<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You can reschedule the update so your computer will restart when it is more convenient for you.\u00a0 To do this, all you need to do is right-click on the Update icon in your taskbar and choose \u201cReschedule restart\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2025\/pupdates.png\" alt=\"Windows Update Icon on Taskbar - Cloudeight InfoAve\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2025\/pupdates1.png\" alt=\"Reschedule Restart for Windows Update - Cloudeight InfoAve\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">We think it\u2019s better to reschedule the update restart than to pause updates. But you\u2019re the boss!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If you choose to pause updates, remember that once you reach the pause limit (5 times\u201435 days), you\u2019ll need to install the latest updates before you can pause them again.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>3.\u00a0 A quick way to find your Windows username and system (computer) name<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Type CMD in the taskbar search.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">When the Command Prompt appears in the search results press \u201cEnter\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">When the Command Prompt opens type WHOAMI (that\u2019s Who Am I, all one word) at the prompt and press Enter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You\u2019ll see your system name (computer name) and username displayed like this:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">system name\/username<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"auto-style9\"><span class=\"auto-style1\"><span class=\"normaltext\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Three Simple Windows Tips for Everyone These tips are for Windows 10 and Windows 11 1.
