Thanks, Lee<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Answer<br \/>\n<\/strong>Hi Lee. We noticed you&#8217;re using Windows XP so here&#8217;s how you clean up  \t\tall those old restore points in XP. Vista and Windows 7 Users, hang in there, we&#8217;ll get  \t\tto you after we help Lee.<\/p>\n<p>Disk Cleanup can be used to remove all but  \t\tthe most recent Restore Point.\u00a0 Do this only if your computer is running  \t\tnormally and you&#8217;re having no problems. If you are having problems you shouldn&#8217;t  \t\tclear old restore points because you may have to go back to an earlier restore  \t\tpoint.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how to remove old system restore points  \t\tusing Windows XP Disk Cleanup<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Click Start then Run and type Cleanmgr then press enter<br \/>\n&#8211; Select the drive where Windows is installed (normally C:\\ )and press OK<br \/>\n&#8211; Click on the More Options tab (see image under Vista instructions (below).  \t\tWindows XP&#8217;s dialog is very similar.<br \/>\n&#8211; Click on Cleanup under System Restore<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how to remove old system restore points  \t\tin Windows Vista and Windows 7.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Click Start<br \/>\n&#8211; Type clean in the Start Search box.<br \/>\n&#8211; Click Disk Cleanup from the search results list.<br \/>\n&#8211; Select Files from All Users on this computer option.<br \/>\n&#8211; Click OK on Disk Space Cleanup Manager for Windows User Access Control  \t\tpermission request dialog.<br \/>\n&#8211; Choose a drive letter from the drop down list, and press OK.<br \/>\n&#8211; Disk Cleanup will perform calculation to determine how much space it can  \t\tfree.
