A severe “zero-day” vulnerability has been discovered in the browser, potentially exposing over 2 billion users worldwide to cyberattacks. Google\u2019s Threat Analysis Group identified that hackers are actively exploiting a weakness in Chrome’s V8 engine\u2014the component responsible for running website code\u2014to execute harmful commands on Windows computers. Because this is a zero-day threat, attackers were already using the bug before a fix was available, making immediate action essential.<\/span><\/p>\n

To protect against this risk, Google has deployed an emergency security update for all Windows users. It is important to note that while the update often downloads automatically in the background, it does not actually install or protect your device until the browser is fully restarted.<\/span><\/p>\n
