How to Add “End task” to your Windows 11 Right-click Menu<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Here’s a great new Windows 11 feature that makes shutting down frozen apps much easier! This used to be a hidden geeky trick, but Windows 11 now lets you turn this feature on right from the Settings menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

The “End task” button is a fast way to force a program to shut down when it is frozen, stuck, or otherwise unresponsive.\u00a0<\/span>Here is a simple tutorial for adding the “End task” option to your right-click menu on the taskbar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s how to add End Task to your right-click menu<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1: Open the Settings Menu (Windows key + I ).<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2: Click on System in the column on the left side. Scroll all down and click on “Advanced”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3: Turn on “End Task”. Click the toggle switch next to it to turn it on. That’s it! You can now close the Settings window.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, when a program is frozen, click on the program’s icon on your Taskbar. Right-click on the icon. You will now see an option that says End task. Click End task.
