Click \u201cRun&#8221; (or press Windows key + R). Standard hard drives (HDDs) show up as \u201cHard disk&#8221; drives, and Solid State Drives (SSDs) show up as &#8220;Solid state&#8221; drives.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">And what the heck does Retrim mean?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If you have a sharp eye, you saw in the last screenshot &#8220;5 days since last retrim.&#8221; In case you&#8217;re wondering what that means&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Retrim is often used interchangeably with TRIM when referring to solid-state drives (SSDs).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">TRIM is a command that informs the SSD which data blocks are no longer in use.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">This allows the SSD to efficiently manage its internal storage by marking these blocks as available for reuse.
