But every program or app you install can leave behind background services, auto-start entries, and temporary files that quietly pile up. Over time, all that digital clutter drags down your computer’s performance. If you do test something out and decide you don’t need it, uninstall it right away!

Be very careful where you download software.

Never click those big, flashing “Download Now” buttons on web pages or in random search engine results! Always download software directly from the developer’s official website, or stick to legitimate, time-tested software archives like SnapFiles or MajorGeeks. You do not need to hunt down “newer” drivers just for the sake of having them. And above all else: NEVER install a “Driver Updater” program. Driver updaters are absolute poison for your PC. They frequently install wrong, corrupted, or unstable drivers that can break your system or cause endless blue-screen crashes.

Let Windows Update handle your routine drivers automatically, and only touch a driver manually if a specific piece of hardware stops working.
