It came to our attention this week that many people still send large attachments via email. That can be a problem. Some ISPs have a limit on the size of attachments you can send. Web mail providers (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.) have limits too.<\/p>\n
Since most people have high-speed Internet access – it’s tempting to send a 40MB or 50MB file via email. But many times this will end up with your mail being rejected by the recipient domain — or rejected by your ISP. Also, keep in mind that Google Gmail does not allow you to send executables – exes – not even when you zip them.<\/p>\n
There are better ways to send large files. We found a service a few days ago (and tested it) that allows you to share files with whomever you want with a bare minimum of hassle.
