It\u2019s simpler and more useful than many of the sticky notes programs you\u2019ve probably used before. You can start Windows 7 Sticky Notes by typing Notes in the search bar at the bottom of the start menu. Create a note or reminder. Once your note is created, you can right-click it to change its color; click the + sign on the note title bar to add another note, or click a note and press ALT+4 to close the sticky note windows. Don\u2019t worry \u2013 all of your notes will be saved automatically. Windows 7 Sticky Notes program is one, cool little application that offers a variety of user options. If you\u2019re a fan of sticky notes, we\u2019re betting you\u2019ll find the Sticky Notes program in Windows 7 to be one the best you\u2019ve ever used.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WordPad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finally, Microsoft is beefing up its venerable old WordPad program. As many of you know, by default WordPad saves documents in Rich Text Format. And the new WordPad in Windows 7 saves in this format, by default, just as it has always done. But the new, improved WordPad is much better. When you browse the Save As Format list and you\u2019ll see you can also save files in the Office 2007 .docx or OpenDocument .odt formats. You can also open Word (.docx) and OpenDocument (.odt) files with WordPad. It\u2019s about time Microsoft gave everyone a free, built-in program to open Word documents!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desktop slideshow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Windows 7 comes with some really cool wallpapers. And you\u2019ll probably have a few more you\u2019d like to add to the mix too. But with all those cool wallpapers at your fingertips you might have a hard time deciding which wallpaper to use. And then again, sometimes you just get tired of looking at the same old wallpaper.<\/p>\n<p>Windows 7 allows you to show off all your wallpaper as a cool desktop slideshow.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how you can do that in Windows 7:<\/p>\n<p>Right-click an empty part of the desktop, select Personalize \u2013&gt; Desktop Background, then hold down Ctrl as you click on the images you want to appear in your desktop slideshow. Then all you have to do is choose how often you want the images to change (anywhere from once daily to every ten seconds). If you\u2019d like the backgrounds to appear in a random order select \u201cShuffle\u201d.
