Many of you use Dropbox to store your valuable files. Dropbox gives all users 2GB of storage space free of charge. If you need more space you can opt to buy more space, or you can earn more space by recommending Dropbox to your friends. If a friend signs up because of your recommendation, you get 250MB of extra space. You can get a maximum of 8GB of space by recommending Dropbox.<\/p>\n

Dropbox has become wildly popular because it’s safe and easy to use. It’s quite easy to save files to Dropbox, all you need to do is to drag the files you want to back up and save to your Dropbox account to the special folder that Dropbox creates on your hard drive when you download the free Dropbox application (free, 14.3MB). But did you know that Dropbox also lets you easily share a folder with anyone you choose? Since your files are stored both on your hard drive as well as on the web (your Dropbox folder synchronizes with a mirror folder on the web – or in “the cloud”), you can give access to your entire Dropbox folder, or just to single subfolder with it, to anyone you choose to share it with. The only restriction is – whoever you share your Dropbox folder, or folders with, must have a Dropbox account also.<\/p>\n

Since a lot of you are looking for ways to share files with friends – Dropbox gives you a very easy way to share file with one or more friends or family members.<\/p>\n

“…Dropbox lets you share your folders with others by creating a new shared folder or sharing an existing one. Once you add other members to the folder, it will appear in your friends or colleagues own Dropbox just as it does in yours. Any changes made to the shared folder’s contents will appear instantaneously to everyone who is a member of the folder.<\/p>\n

Create a New Shared Folder
\nTo create a new shared folder, click on the Create a new shared folder button from the Sharing tab of your Dropbox account.<\/p>\n

Share an Existing Folder
\nTo share an existing folder, the folder has to be in your Dropbox folder. You can create a folder in your Dropbox folder just as you would anywhere else on your hard drive...”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
