Every Windows 7 computer has Windows Mail (not to be confused with the clunky Windows Live Mail) installed on it. However, the program is disabled by some slick slight of hand by the folks at Microsoft who claimed they were worried about European anti-trust suits should they include an email program in Windows 7. It sounds like baloney to us. If they were worried about antitrust suits – they’d have left Internet Explorer off — not Windows Mail.<\/p>\n

After many attempts to find a 100% foolproof way to get Windows Mail to work on Windows 7 (and Windows 8) — we finally did it. And let me tell you that we’ve been using Windows Mail for a few days now and it’s such a sweet email program — it really does put everything else to shame.<\/p>\n

Unlike the clunky Windows Live Mail – which seems to load slowly and crash often – Windows Mail uses very little system resources, loads instantly, and has so many features. It’s such a joy to have it back.<\/p>\n

\nEB is using Windows Mail on Windows 7 and I’m using it on Windows 8 — and all we can say is we’re glad we found a way — because we missed Outlook Express \/ Windows Mail – it’s so good to have it back again.<\/p>\n
