We’ve ferreted out a really nifty freeware program that makes making special characters a snap! No more memorizing alt key + number pad combinations. No more opening Windows character map and hunting around.<\/p>\n

All those lovely things were made in seconds using a freeware program called Holdkey — yes soir\u00e9e \ud83d\ude42 \u0243obb\u00fd — it’s great and fast and so easy to use, even EB cat “Vlad the Impaler” could use it.<\/p>\n

It’s truly free and it will be truly a boon to those of you who oft need to use special characters in your writing, posts, or emails. Or if you just want to impress people like EB and use the word sch\u00e4d\u00ebnfr\u00ebud\u00eb and spell it correctly — like the Germans do. I’m not German so I’m not so sure those e’s are right — but they’re impressive! Hey! And so is that A!<\/p>\n
