If you use only one browser, regardless of which it is, then you can \t\tskip this tip. But if you’re one of the many who often switch between \t\tFirefox or Chrome (or others) and Internet Explorer you might find this \t\ttip to be valuable.<\/p>\n

As most of you know, you can have as many browsers as you like \t\tinstalled, but you’re going to have to choose one of them to be your \t\tdefault browser – that is the browser that opens links when you click on \t\tthem. If you want to use another browser to open links, you’ll have to \t\topen that browser first and then click the link. Until now.<\/p>\n

There’s a program we discovered this week, called “Browser Chooser” \t\twhich acts as a default browser – but it’s not a browser at all. It \t\tintercepts the link, then allows you to choose the browser you want to \t\topen that link. Sure, it may be an extra step that some of you won’t \t\twant, but it’s easier than opening the browser you want and then \t\tclicking the link. Every link you click when a browser is not open, \t\tgives you choice of browser. Once a browser is open, of course, that \t\tbrowser will continue to open links you click while you’re using it.<\/p>\n

So if you’re a multi-browser user and you want a choice of which browser \t\tyou want to open the links you click on, you might want to give “Browser \t\tChooser” a try.<\/p>\n

Browser Chooser works in Windows XP too – at least on our Windows XP \t\tcomputers. It’s a 3.3MB download. Again, a reminder: If \t\tyou have one browser installed and it’s the only browser you ever use,\u00a0 \t\tyou don’t need this program. It will just be an aggravation to you. If \t\tyou have 2, 3, 4, or more browsers installed and you often use each of \t\tthem, then this program just might come in handy for you.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
