Windows 8 is available for sale today. If you want to download Windows 8 Professional, it will cost you $39.99 through January 31, 2013. If you want it shipped to you on DVD it’s $69.99. We suggest, if you have a fast internet connection, you download it and burn your own DVD and save $30.<\/p>\n
If you’re using Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, you’re eligible for the upgrade. Please check with Microsoft’s Windows 8 site — if you’re using Vista or XP you will be able to keep your personal files but not your programs. So be sure to read that carefully. If you’re using Windows 7, you will be able to keep everything, including all your programs, provided they’re compatible with Windows 8.<\/p>\n
