Microsoft rolled out not only the brand new Windows 8 operating system, but also the so-called marketing blitz, an advertising campaign supposed to make people aware that a new Windows is available.<\/p>\n
More than half of computer users however haven\u2019t even heard about Windows 8, a study conducted by the Associated Press<\/p>\n
and market researcher GfK has found.<\/p>\n
52 percent out of the 1,200 US respondents said they didn\u2019t know that Windows 8 was released, while 61 percent of them admitted having heard about it, but they have \u201clittle or no interest\u201d in it.<\/p>\n
While such news may come as a shock for Microsoft officials, it\u2019s hard to believe that these figures are indeed accurate, as the United States have already been the target of numerous Windows 8 advertising campaigns.<\/p>\n
