It came to our attention this week that many people still send large attachments via email. That can be a problem. Most ISPs have a limit on the size of attachments you can send. Web mail providers (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.) have limits too.<\/p>\n
Since the majority of folks now have high-speed Internet access – it’s tempting to send a 40 or 50MB file via email. But many times this will end up with your mail either getting rejected by the recipient domain — or rejected by your ISP. And Gmail does not allow you to send executables – exes – not even inside zipped files.<\/p>\n
There are better ways to send large files. We found a service a few days ago (and tested it) that allows you to share files with whomever you want with a bare minimum of hassle. It’s called Tinyupload. And despite its diminutive name – it allows you to upload and share files, as many as you want – up to 50MB each.<\/p>\n
