Yes, it&#8217;s there, buried deep in the inner sanctum of your computer waiting to be commanded into existence by you, dear friend.<\/p>\n<p>If you have kept your Windows updated, then press the Windows Key and the R key to bring up the Run dialog. In the run dialog type MRT and press enter.<\/p>\n<p>You should see this (see screenshot below):<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2013\/mrt.png\" width=\"524\" height=\"466\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool &#8211; and most of you already have it. But it won&#8217;t do you much good unless you run it. So, run it and see if it finds anything &#8212; and it does, let MRT get rid of it.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not the best tool in the war against malware, but it is another tool you should be using. And since most of you already have it, you should run it a few times a month.
