We’re not out of the soup yet, but we’re treading water — at least we’re not sinking! We didn’t have a lot of time to find a good answer for you, but we did do a little preliminary testing of a program that looks like it will do the job for you and it’s easy to use. They have tutorials online and the program seems to work well. It’s not free though, it’s $29. But they do offer a 21-day free trial so you can give it a try and see if you can make give that old black and white photo some color and pizazz! The program is called Recolored and it works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 (we didn’t test it on Windows 8, but it should work fine).

Here’s some samples of what it can do:

Before

After

Before

If this looks like what you’re looking for, head on over to http://www.recolored.com/ and download the 21-day free trial and work with that black and white photo and see what you can do with it.
