We&#8217;ve chosen our top ten tips for more security while online  \t\t\tand here they are &#8211; just for you:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<ul> <span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><\/p>\n<li>ALWAYS make sure you use an  \t\t\t\tAnti-Virus program and keep it up-to-date.<\/li>\n<li>ALWAYS make sure to keep your  \t\t\t\toperating system up-to-date. Always install the latest Windows  \t\t\t\tupdates.<\/li>\n<li>ALWAYS make sure you use at least  \t\t\t\ttwo good anti-spyware programs &#8211; and keep them up-to-date.<\/li>\n<li>ALWAYS make sure you backup your  \t\t\t\timportant data. That includes documents, pictures and emails.  \t\t\t\tKeep the backup in a safe place. A safe place is not your  \t\t\t\tWindows hard drive.<\/li>\n<li>ALWAYS make sure you are on a  \t\t\t\tsecure server when shopping online. Secure server URLs always  \t\t\t\tstart with https:\/\/ instead of http:\/\/. So look at your  \t\t\t\tbrowser&#8217;s address bar before entering your credit card  \t\t\t\tinformation.<\/li>\n<li>NEVER open attachments you were  \t\t\t\tnot expecting even if they appear to be from someone you know  \t\t\t\tvery well. If in doubt, save the attachment to your desktop and  \t\t\t\tscan it with your anti-virus program FIRST.<\/li>\n<li>NEVER visit porn (adult) sites or  \t\t\t\t&#8220;warez&#8221; sites. These kinds of sites are notorious for furtively  \t\t\t\tinstalling harmful, even dangerous software on your computer &#8211;  \t\t\t\tsometimes without your knowledge or permission.<\/li>\n<li>NEVER attempt to close a popup  \t\t\t\twindow by clicking on it. Always use ALT+F4 key to close it.  \t\t\t\tNefarious popups are ubiquitous on the web and they could infect  \t\t\t\tyour computer with spyware, trojans or worse.<\/li>\n<li>NEVER reply to an email requesting  \t\t\t\tpersonal information. No reputable company will ever ask you to  \t\t\t\tdo this.<\/li>\n<li>NEVER buy any products or services  \t\t\t\tfrom a spam email. Those who do are really the ones responsible  \t\t\t\tfor the horrendous spam problem we all face today.
