It&#8217;s been part of Windows for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>This trick applies to Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 \u00a0and Windows 8 \/ 8.1 (both 32bit and 64 bit versions).<\/p>\n<p>You can try this trick even if you&#8217;re not having problems. I will terminate all running processes and programs in 30 seconds &#8211; and you&#8217;ll have no option to cancel the shutdown sequence. So if you want to try this tip, be sure you don&#8217;t have any unfinished work open. If you do, you&#8217;ll lose it.<\/p>\n<p>OK here&#8217;s the trick:<\/p>\n<p>Press the Windows Key + R<br \/>\nIn the command line type shutdown \/s<br \/>\nPress Enter<\/p>\n<p>Your computer will shut down in 30 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to restart your computer use shutdown \/r<\/p>\n<p>Pretty easy. Pretty quick.
