Microsoft has finally launched its Internet Explorer 9 Web browser. After months of betas and release candidates, Internet Explorer 9 has been officially released to the public.<\/p>\n
Keep in mind that Internet Explorer 9 will not run on Windows XP, \u00a0you’ll need either Windows Vista and Windows 7 to run it. Those of you who want to download IE9 – visit\u00a0www.microsoft.com\/ie<\/a>. IE9 is\u00a0a free download.<\/p>\n Microsoft touts many new features in IE9 saying: it’s faster, has enhanced security features, offers better user control over add-ins, and includes the famous “do-not-track” feature (for those who are paranoid about cookies).<\/p>\n If you’re using Firefox or Chrome you might want to download IE9 just to see what\u00a0Microsoft\u00a0has been up to, we doubt that IE9 is going to make you want to switch.<\/p>\n If you currently use Internet Explorer on Windows Vista or Windows 7 – you might want to upgrade to IE9 for the extra speed and security. \u00a0However:\u00a0it’s still early in the release cycle, so we urge you to create a system restore point prior to installing it.
