If you are having problems you shouldn\u2019t clear old restore points because you may have to go back to an earlier restore point. Restore points take up a lot of disk space, so if your computer is running well, there\u2019s not much sense in keeping a dozen restore points. One or two recent restore points should be plenty. \u00a0If your computer isn\u2019t running well, and hasn\u2019t been running well, don\u2019t remove any old restore points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #444444;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">He<\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">re\u2019s how to remove old system restore points in Windows 7, Windows 8x and Windows 10:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #444444;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">&#8211; Press &amp; hold down the Windows key and press the &#8220;R&#8221; key<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">&#8211;\u00a0Type CLEANMGR in the Run dialog and press Enter.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">&#8211; Select Files from All Users on this computer option.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">&#8211; Click OK on Disk Space Cleanup Manager for Windows User Access Control permission request dialog.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">&#8211; Choose a drive letter from the drop down list, and press OK.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">&#8211; Disk Cleanup will perform calculation to determine how much space it can free.
