All these girls and guys are \t\treally going to love you. A lot! Well, they’re really going to love you \t\tif you click the link to watch the video or read the e-card you. For if \t\tyou do you’ll be loving them too. You’ll be loving them by allowing to \t\tinstall a bot, worm, trojan, or virus on your computer. These unknown \t\tlovers of yours will then use your computer to send more lovely e-cards \t\tand such to other lucky people who you don’t know but will say you love. \t\tWell you won’t really know you’re saying you love them, but the email \t\tyou send them unwittingly will say you love them.<\/p>\n

Yes indeed folks, it’s the season of love \t\tand if you fall for these scams you’ll be in the circle of love and \t\tyou’ll go round and round and round. Not only is your computer a \t\tpotential bot, it would be welcomed and loved by other computers which \t\thave been turned into bots. You’ll all be engaged in one big love fest \t\tknown as a botnet. All you need is love!<\/p>\n

No, you don’t need this kind of love, do \t\tyou? Unfortunately, there are some lonely souls out there who will be \t\tso excited to see that somebody loves them that\u00a0 they’ll click a \t\tlink in those kinds of emails and catch the equivalent of a cyber STD. \t\tYes, yes, we know it’s pathetic and you just want to reach out to these poor lonely \t\tsouls and hug them. It’s hard to believe they’re so desperate for love \t\tthey’ll click a link in an email from Kim Jung Il or Vladimir Putin – or \t\tworse, Brittany Spears, to find the love their lonely hearts are \t\tseeking.<\/p>\n

Anyway, you know the routine. Watch out for \t\tthese kinds of emails. Protect yourself so even if you find yourself on \t\tthe long end of too many glasses of wine or beer – or TC’s latest \t\tweakness – Bloody Marys – and click a link by accident, your automatic shields \t\tgo up and save your besotted soul from your own foibles.<\/p>\n

A. Keep your anti-virus software updated \t\tand make sure you have the latest version of your anti-virus program.<\/p>\n

B. Keep your anti-spyware programs updated \t\tand make sure you have the latest versions of the programs<\/p>\n

C. Use your common sense and think before \t\tyou click. If you’re besotted, watch TV, go to sleep, or grab a muffin \t\twith butter. Don’t use your computer –or drive a car. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

If you don’t have anti-virus or \t\tanti-spyware software installed, go stand in the corner for one hour and \t\tthirty-seven minutes or until Eightball says your punishment is over. \t\tAnd NO TALKING or PEEKING while you’re in the corner.\u00a0 Actually, if \t\tyou have no anti-virus or anti-spyware software installed, you need \t\thelp.<\/p>\n
