Recently we featured a poem<\/a> from our now defunct Acpressions web site \u00a0and you gave it such a warm reception we want to feature another. This one, written by TC in 2001, is entitled “Lighthouse”. We hope you enjoy this one as much as you enjoyed “Footprints in the Snow<\/a><\/span><\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

Lighthouse<\/h1>\n

It is not easy to weather love’s storms,
\nNor is it easy to sail on its sea.
\nIt’s hard to tell by the clouds that it forms
\nWhat kind of day those clouds will bring me.<\/p>\n

Sometimes in anger I set off to sail
\nOut on the ocean without a first mate;
\nKnowing full well that without you I’ll fail,
\nThe Tempest is raging. The Tempest won’t wait.<\/p>\n

Miles out to sea, my heart starts to yearn.
\nAnd I head for home in the dark of the night.
\nAnd all the while you knew I’d return;
\nYour love never dims, nothing turns out its light.<\/p>\n

And you, like a lighthouse, stand waiting for me,
\nTo return from the Tempest; to return from the sea.
\nYour love, never failing, always bright, always true,
\nShines like a lighthouse guiding me home to you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
