If you’re using Windows 7 or Windows 8.x, listen up! If you are using a desktop computer – or a laptop with a full-size keyboard, you’ll notice a key called Home between Insert and Page Up. If you’ve ever even noticed it you’ve probably wondered what it does \u00a0It does a number of things that you might be interested in.<\/p>\n
First it takes you back to the top of a Web Page, document, PDF file, email etc. If you’re at the bottom of one of those, pressing the Home key takes you back to the top. Likewise, if your browsing through a long list of files in a folder, pressing the Home key takes you back to the top of the list.<\/p>\n
When you combine the Home Key with the Windows Key, you get a little windows (small “w”) magic. Pressing the Windows Key + Home \u00a0closes all windows except the one on top. Pressing Windows Key + Home again returns all windows to their original position. It’s a great way to clear your screen of all windows but the one you’re working in — and then when you’re done, returning all the windows you had open back to their original positions.<\/p>\n
So now go and hit a “home” run. Babe Ruth will be proud of you.<\/p>\n
