He then reportedly shared the photos with other CHP officers.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation began after a woman who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in August noticed that photos from her phone had been sent to a number that she did not recognize,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.contracostatimes.com\/my-town\/ci_26793090\/warrant-chp-officer-says-stealing-nude-photos-from?source=pkg\">according to the <em>Contra Costa Times<\/em><\/a>. The photos were sent when the woman was being processed in jail, the newspaper reported.<\/p>\n<p>Harrington allegedly asked for the woman&#8217;s iPhone password <a href=\"http:\/\/www.contracostatimes.com\/breaking-news\/ci_26781240\/dublin-chp-officer-suspected-secretly-forwarding-dui-suspects\">during her arrest<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In another incident, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/crime\/article\/Disturbing-texts-in-CHP-officers-nude-photo-5846327.php\">Harrington allegedly texted<\/a> another\u00a0CHP officer,\u00a0Robert Hazelwood,\u00a0photos of a woman in a bikini\u00a0taken from her phone while she was in the hospital following a DUI incident.<\/p>\n<p>Harrington, who described looking for nude photos of female suspects as a \u201cgame,\u201d told Contra Costa County prosecutors that other officers were already engaging in the unlawful behavior when he first started his job, reported the <em>Contra Costa Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>So far, none of the CHP officers have been charged.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/yz9SDq\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Source Ars Technica\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/article>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHP officers reportedly stole cell phone photos from women in custody One CHP officer allegedly asked for a woman&#8217;s iPhone password during her arrest.
