Daryl says we’re a bunch of liars
\n<\/strong>Has your hatred of Microsoft grown so strong that you feel you have to photoshop screen shots and write untruthful articles about them bundling software. I once relied on you guys for the truth, but I found out you’re just like the rest. You have really stooped low on this one. I never thought I would ever see you lie to carry out a smear campaign on Microsoft.<\/p>\n

\n<\/b>Well Daryl, what can we say? We ARE guilty of one thing – we forgot to mention that the pre-checked box for Bing and MSN homepage is on the U.S. version of the Microsoft page. You’re from Canada and indeed the Canadian version of the page does not have the box pre-checked.<\/p>\n

We should have said that the box is checked on the U.S. version of the Microsoft page. We can’t possibly check pages from every single English-speaking country.. We apologize if anyone from anywhere other than the USA saw the box unchecked. As of today, the US page still has the box prechecked.<\/p>\n

As of today, February 12, 2015, the U.S. version of the download page for Microsoft products still has the box checked.<\/p>\n

We don’t hate Microsoft; we do hate seeing Microsoft stooping to this level in an obvious attempt to try and catch up with Google. The way to beat competition isn’t by cheating, it’s by making better products than your competitors. If Microsoft made better products than Google then they would not have force Bing and MSN down people’s throats. And that’s not Microsoft hatred, that’s the truth.<\/p>\n

We always try to be honest and would never intentionally “photoshop” an image so that if fits an article. We don’t hate Microsoft – we’re sad to see them doing some of the things they do. We think Windows 10 will be the best thing Microsoft has done since Windows XP. It’s still early in the development stage, and there’s still plenty of time for Microsoft to ruin it; we just hope they stay on track and keep making it better and better as they have been doing. If they do it will be the biggest hit since Windows XP.<\/p>\n

Daryl, we hope you’ll give a break on this one. We never, ever, thought of viewing that Microsoft page as it would appear to those in Canada, the U.K., Australia or New Zealand. All we know is what we see on the U.S. version of the page.
