But, few people know about it.<\/p>\n<p>In windows 8.x, you can access Advanced Startup Options with a command (and later we&#8217;ll show you how to make a desktop shortcut to Advanced Startup Options):<br \/>\nHere is how to restart a computer in Advanced Startup using the command line:<\/p>\n<p>Press Winkey+X to open the power users menu<br \/>\nSelect \u201cCommand Prompt\u201d<br \/>\nIn the command prompt enter shutdown.exe \/r \/o \/f \/t 00<br \/>\n<em>Careful! There are spaces after exe, \/r \/o \/f \/t 00<br \/>\nP<\/em>ress Enter <em>and your <\/em>computer will restart and you&#8217;ll see this:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"auto-style3\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2015\/fast-troubleshoot.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve \" width=\"583\" height=\"471\" \/><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"auto-style3\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2015\/fast-troubleshoot1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve \" width=\"600\" height=\"353\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>(Windows 8.x users will see &#8220;Automatic Repair&#8221; instead of &#8220;Uninstall Preview updates&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>If you click on Advanced Options you&#8217;ll see you have options to do a System Restore, recover Windows from, a drive image, repair startup problems, use Command Prompt for advanced troubleshooting (Advanced users) and the last one is Startup Settings which is interesting.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"auto-style3\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2015\/fast-troubleshoot2.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve \" width=\"599\" height=\"343\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Under Startup Settings you&#8217;ll see plenty of options but the one that most of you will be looking for is Enable Safe Mode.
