Free Office Viewers

By | August 13, 2011

Nah, in spite of what you might think, we’re not that tacky….yet. This is not a site that promotes voyeurism by allowing you to furtively peer into offices and see people slacking off while getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a month. It won’t let you see the president of Ford Motor Company playing Angry Birds on his iPhone while sitting in his posh $30 million office, either. You won’t see any hanky-panky with these viewers. It’s too bad though. We just might be tacky if there were such programs. What really goes on inside EB’s office? Oh wait, her office is a lawn chair, a TV tray, and a bottle of Maalox – very similar to TC’s office.

Anyway (I love that word), the Office Viewers we are talking about, allow those of you who are broke and cannot afford to shell out $400.00+ for MS Office, or who don’t want to download a 100MB+ free office program, or are too lazy to use Google docs – to view the files created by your rich yuppie friends who can afford not only one, but multiple copies of Microsoft Office Professional. It also allows those of you who are new to being poor and still using your old MS Office 97 – to view files created by your more affluent friends, who are using MS Office 2010.

Microsoft, in its magnanimity, now offers all of us poor folks really cool free viewers so that we can view and maybe even make sense out of all those really cool MS Office Access, Excel. PowerPoint, Word, et. al. files created by our wealthy friends and rich, but stingy family members who use the latest version of Microsoft Office. Yippee for us poor folk! It pays to be poor! We can see clearly now, thanks to the good and truly altruistic nature of good old Microsoft.

And, we know you’re dying to know what Microsoft has to say about these nifty goodies, they are giving away, to help those of us with meager means to see the glorious light of MS Office. So, here you go. We introduce you to Mr. Microsoft:

“…With the help of converters and viewers from Office Online, you can share your Microsoft Office files with people who have different versions of Office programs, or even with people who don’t have Office installed.

Converters allow you to open files created by people using different versions of your Office programs.

Viewers provide a means for people who don’t have Office programs to see your work. You can provide them with the appropriate viewer along with your Office files….”

Anyway, enough of this! We know you want these viewers! After you install the correct viewers for your computer, when your “oh-my-she-married-well-friend”, Ms. Penelope Finecrass III, sends you all her Excel spreadsheets, gloating about her income – you’ll be able to gawk at it with amazement, admiration and even astonishment! Why? Because thanks to these MS Office Viewers, you’ll actually be able to see all those big numbers – instead looking at hodgepodge of gobbledygook and pretending you actually could see what it said. Nothing is better than viewing really big numbers neatly aligned in really tight, pastel-colored columns! I know it makes me melt and EB shiver with delight.

So we offer you not one, not two, not three, not four, but multiple freeware picks this week. We make the best of poverty so we can make poverty work for you! Go get all your free viewers and join us in reveling in all the best that poverty has to offer. Office Viewers – multiple freeware picks and that means (or sometimes means) it might really be worth your while to take a look! Free stuff from Microsoft? Well, I’ll be!
