Weekly Update From TC & Darcy

Weekly Update From TC & Darcy

First, we can’t thank you enough for all the support, both personal and financial, that many of you have blessed us with; we are truly grateful.

TC continues to improve. He is receiving physical therapy and weekly medical checkups, and the doctors say he’s doing very well and ahead of schedule on the road to recovery. It’s going to be a long road to getting back to normal, but every day TC gets stronger. The doctors and therapists say he’s survived because he is so stubborn. Darcy can attest to that.

The daily newsletter has gone out every day for the last 2+ weeks, and we’re planning to resume sending our weekly newsletter to all subscribers beginning on Friday, November 6, 2026. Hopefully, it will be the first of many more to come.

Before TC became ill, we had sent our weekly newsletters to our friends for 1191 weeks in a row without missing an issue. That’s almost 23 years’ worth of newsletters.

We hope to resume our Cloudeight Direct Computer Care service in mid-December and have everything back to normal by the beginning of the new year.

Again, our heartfelt thanks to all of you for your support during this difficult time. We appreciate it more than we can say. Your prayers, emails, and your generous donations have helped us more than you know.

Thank you all so very much!

PS: Don’t forget! If you have questions about and or need help with your computer or Android phone, TC is back to answering questions by email. So, if you need help or have a question, let us know.

So glad to hear that TC will soon be back to “normal”.

I’m going to throw this out for what its worth. Darcy, if we are all “family”, don’t you think it would be
more intimate if we, say, knew your ages. had a photo or two and knew exactly what TC’s ailment was all about? I’m sure your many, many clients, who have supported, financially and prayerfully, you both and whom you both have supported over these many, many years, would really feel “at one” with you two exceptional persons if we had a better understanding of what you both have been going through. The “secrecy” is driving us crazy. Come now. You are both celebrities as far as we’re concerned.
OK…Now that I’ve got that off my “chest”…you may totally disregard if I am being too bold.

I am so glad things are headed in the right direction for TC. I have read every Cloudeight posting since I got my first computer around 2004 and have certainly learned a lot. Best wishes and prayers for continued improvement to TC and also Darcy.

I do have to say I agree with JP about one thing – I’d love to know what you both look like.

I imagine TC as a bald, bespectacled and somewhat elderly gentleman (meaning he’s over 70). He’s sitting at a cluttered desk and frowning as he reads a note from someone asking for a “dial in and fix up this computer” but he’s been helping people for more than 20 years and he’s fixed this problem more than once. He quickly sends out a message suggesting a time and day and remembers to mark that on his calendar, writing Not Confirmed beside it. He then calls out to Darcy, who is working diligently in the next room, asking if she’s ready for lunch yet.

Darcy, wearing jeans and a graphic T-shirt, hollers back “It’s 10:30 in the morning. You are NOT going to lunch yet.” She then returns her attention to an immaculately well organized work station while ignoring somebody’s shouted “slave driver” comment. Darcy is between 45 and 50, looks like a young Katherine Hepburn, and can kick butt using either her mental or physical prowess without breaking a sweat. She sits, rubs her forehead and thinks “I’m glad he’s back but he is driving me crazy.”

    Am I close?

It’s good to know TC’s making progress but I hope he remembers not to push himself too hard. And I really hope Darcy’s feeling better knowing her partner is helping to bring both their lives back to normal.

I am so, so, sorry that you have both been through so much lately. I have been so busy that I didn’t even realize I hadn’t gotten a weekly newsletter since July 31st. Forgive me for not noticing sooner. ;( We will add you both to our nightly prayers. My husband has been going through some health issues too and now he has to see a cardiologist as well as a gastro doctor. Praying for you both!
