Display Multiple Clocks in System Tray

Here’s a tip for Windows 7 – all versions.

Do you have friends living in another country or another time zone that is quite different from yours? Do you get tired of adding / subtracting hours to figure our whether or not you should call them now or wait until some other time when they might actually be awake?

Windows 7 lets you add up to two additional clocks – two additional time zones. Whether you are a clock fanatic or you have a good reason for wanting to know what the time is in Sydney, New York or London, Windows 7 makes it easy for you to really know what time is in three different places – all at the same time, even though they’re not on the same time. Get it?

Before you start wondering where Windows is going to put all those clocks on your taskbar, don’t. Windows only shows the other clock.

* Click on the Clock in System tray
* Next, click on “Change date and time settings” which open the Date and Time Window.
* Click on the tab for Additional Clocks.

In this dialog, you can add up to two additional clocks . Enter the additional time zone(s) you want to display, and if you like, give the clock a unique name. Now, check “Show this clock” to enable the clock(s), and then click OK.
