James has a problem with Internet Explorer
My question is about my Internet Explorer. When I go onto the Internet this thing pops up (Internet Explorer has stopped working) Then I get this note: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Then I have to go to the Internet Explorer (64-bit) to get back on line. I have tried to run Troubleshooting and Hardware Diagnostic Tools, I just don’t know that much about PC’s. Is there anything I can do to fix this. I hope you can help me with this thing. Thanks for your time. James.

Our answer
Hi James. We don’t know your specific problem, but here is something you can try, and since you can’t even open Internet Explorer, you’ll have to do this from Control Panel.

Open Control Panel, then go to Internet Options, click on the Advanced tab. Now look near the bottom of the dialog and click the button labeled “Reset”. This disables or removes your IE add-ins and gives you a fresh start. If there are add-ons you use frequently, you’ll need to reinstall them — but be careful. Have too many add-ons can cause browser problems – and having malware add-ons can cause serious problems. Our advice is to install as few add-ons as possible. While we’re aware there are a plethora of neat-sounding add-ons, only install the ones you really need. And if, after installing an add-on, you notice a problem with your browser, remove or disable it right away.
