Just for Fun: An Optical Illusion

Optical illusions are a fun way to demonstrate the disconnect between our eyes and brain. For example, look at the picture below, most people see a man walking away into a snow-covered forest.

optical illusionVia Twitter // Is it a man or poodle dog?

When you look at the image for the first time, you think you’re seeing a man walking or running away from you into a snowy forest, and to be honest, that’s what everyone sees at first. OK… almost everyone.

When you look closer at the image, you’ll see that it is really a black poodle dog running towards you.

Yes, it’s not a man with snow on his clothing walking away from the camera and into the woods, it’s a black poodle dog that’s running toward you through the snow.

Have fun! It’s just another Saturday here at Cloudeight!

Well, I know I am odd. Oh, I really don’t know it but some people have indicated that to me. 🤔

I saw/see only a poodle. No man no matter how I look at it. Hmm, I wonder what that says about me.

        😂 LOL 😆 LOL 😂
Well, Bob, I discovered something. The first time I saw this was in the evening when my overhead lamp, which shines more on the pc than on me, was on and I did see the poodle only. Next afternoon when the window was brightly sunlit and shines more directly on me than on the pc, I inadvertently clicked on this site and immediately saw the man. I have checked this a few times and for me the lighting determines what I see. Interesting, eh?

Must be the Media one sees this on; Computer or a phone. I keep looking and have a very hard time seeing the dog, my eyes keep telling me what I first saw: a man. Thanks for a fun wake-up email, Cloudeight!

If you want to see the man, just put your finger over the face of the dog, and you can see the outline of the man.

I thought right away it was a man wearing a jacket with a picture of maybe a bear on the back. The front left paw of the dog is shiny and gives the illusion of the back of his shoe reflecting ight. But the right foot didn’t look right. LOL
