It’s a new year and a good time to analyze your passwords. You should never use the same password for more than one site. Your passwords should be 12 or more characters and should include a combination or upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.  A good password manager like LastPass (Free version) includes a password generator and will remember your passwords for you – it will even remember the sites your passwords belong to.

And most security experts recommend that you change your passwords every few months. Some password managers, such as LastPass even make it easy to do that.

It’s a new year and it’s a good time to remember to check your passwords and make sure you’re accounts are protected by strong, hard to crack, passwords.

Be safe!

Okay…I must be missing something…..what is wrong with #15 & #20? I get the rest of them, but those 2 look pretty good to me!

If you read the referenced article, it explains that those seem to be favored by bots so that’s how they made the top 25.

Hmmm…I tried password # 20 on the Password Strength meter and got 56 centuries strong. Either the strength meter isn’t working right, or….???
