It’s very informative indeed, but I would rather get your thoughts, as I have come to depend on the two of you. These sites may suggest ideas, but how will we know if they are safe? I trust and rely on your recommending what is good and secure. Perhaps if you were to add your comments to the ‘tech headlines,’ it would make me feel at ease. However, I believe you would never send us a link that was not secure to read, like the one to ‘Have I Been Pwned’, which you have talked about here before, and I have tried. My emails are all safe. It seems that you have talked about a lot of these, way ahead of these ‘tech headlines’. Well, that’s my opinion. Have a fabulous Friday and weekend.

We are not recommending any site, we are simply linking to interesting articles. We’ve vetted all the articles and the sites they’re on (meaning we’ve visited them and found nothing wrong with them). We just list interesting articles that we’ve read over the past week or so and shared them with our readers. We certainly wouldn’t share links to sites that were not safe. The articles are for informational purposes – we are not endorsing any particular point of view nor are we making site recommedations. We hope that by picking eccletic topics, it would spark interest and learning. “Have I Been Pwned” is a site that we’ve written about and while absolutely not dangerous, I think it’s a bit, shall I say, over-the-top. Take it with grain of salt. Just because an email address is listed there does not mean it’s been “pwned”. It does not mean someone has the password for it or has access to its contents. Email addresses are posted all over the place including social media… that does not mean hackers have access to those accounts. It almost certainly does mean that you’ll get a ton of spam.

I loved the 5 Scam article. The writer was correct in everything stated. Most of the articles are very interesting. Still, speaking for myself, I would like to hear about all this from ‘Cloudeight Info Ave’. Two people I have come to respect and appreciate.

Wow, is it just me, or did I get an ass chewing trying to give a positive compliment?

Dotty, I would never do that. I just want to be sure that everyone understands that we take great care to make sure what we post is safe. I’m 100% sure we’re not perfect in our assessment, but we try. Also, featuring articles of interest sometimes gets difficult because some take them as recommendations. Nothing in our Thursday Tech posts are meant to be anything other than things we found interesting and hopefully others will too. My answer was not directed to you personally (as you’ll see this morning I answered you about a different subject via email).Since the post you made on here was public, I wanted to make certain no one made the assumption that we were recommending any of these points of view or (if it applies) or products or services mentioned.

I’m here to apologize for any clumsy language I used that may have led you to believe I was lecutring you or being condescending. It’s difficult to find things we think our readers would find interesting or could learn from. None of us ever stop learning (I hope).

      Friends? 🙂
