A Message From TC

By | September 28, 2026

Dear Friends,

First, thank you all so much for all the prayers and good wishes you sent me during my illness and extended recovery and rehab. In my next essay (coming soon), I’ll give you more details and keep you all updated on my progress.

I would also like to thank Darcy for the incredible job she did keeping things going, answering emails, filling orders, and keeping you updated.

I’m slowly getting back to normal; I thought I could jump headfirst back into writing our newsletters, fixing computers, and answering all your email questions, but as I always do, I overestimated my ability to recover quickly. As Darcy reminded me while I was hospitalized, I’ll need to take it one day at a time and stop overestimating my ability to bounce back from serious health problems.

I thank Darcy, all of you, and God that I am on the road to recovery.

In the meantime, please do submit your computer questions by email, and I’ll do my best to answer. Your questions and your opinions form the foundation of all of our newsletters.

I hope to publish our daily newsletters starting this week and our weekly newsletters next week, depending on my progress.

Again, thank you all so much for your good wishes and prayers. I cannot tell you how much they mean to me.

With your understanding and God’s help, I will be able to keep on the road to recovery and get things back to normal soon.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Best news ever! I’m so happy you’re on your way to recovery. I agree with everyone, take your time, go slow, listen to your body. As a person who’s “around your age” we tend to think we can bounce back like we used to, but…no!
Looking forward to having you back!
And THANK YOU Darcy, for being there when TC needed you( and still needs you!)

So good to hear that finally you are on the recovery track. Have wondered how things have been going. Was so sad to hear about the set back .We think we can do more than we really can after a health issue….As Darcy told so…Take it a day at a time and don’t overdo…….Mildred

It was great to see an email from you in my inbox earlier! Although I’ve really missed the daily email tips and can’t wait to see them again, you do have to go slow and build up rather than jumping right into your previous daily activities. I’ve had several neck and back surgeries throughout the years (I’m 71 now), and I remember 2 doctors accused me of being an “I want it yesterday” person. But I learned the hard way that it’s not wise to jump back into our old routine too quickly. I may have prevented (or at least delayed for several years) 2 of the surgeries if I had just taken it a bit slower when recuperating. So don’t be like Gina! 😉 But seriously, welcome home.

If you will allow me to torture a metaphor, not unlike a computer after a massive OS update, your body needs a full, uninterrupted system restart to function properly. Unplugging completely now is the only way to avoid a system crash later. Great to hear you are gradually “rebooting” and look forward to your full operational status.

What more can I say that all of the people who love you havn’t already said. Good news about your progress. Yes, God IS good. Better to go easy now than to go through a relapse. Many blessings coming your way. And Darcy, it has been a trying time for you too, I am sure. You are the best and we all love you too!!! Wishing better days ahead for both of you and as always, thanks for what you do and the honest and sincere way that your do it.

This is such good news! Many prayers being answered right now. My husband just got home from 8 days in ICU with sepsis and is facing surgery in a few more days so we are right there in the trenches with you trying to fight our way back to whatever is now “normal”.

This is our new theme song:
One day at a time sweet Jesus
That’s all I’m asking from you
Give me the strength to do every day
    What I have to do
    Yesterday’s gone sweet Jesus
And tomorrow may never be mine
Help me today, show me the way one day at a time

I am continuing prayers for you and Darcy! You have a very loyal base of people who love you and Darcy. We will be here when you are ready to come back.

The tricky thing about recovery is the WILL to get better. For those of us who have the overwhelming desire to get right back into the driver’s seat, the caution is not to go too fast. But on the other hand, if your desire is not overwhelming, then you might not. Your choice of which is better. I try to get back too soon, and I pay for it with a slower recovery. I suspect you are the same. Of course, at 91, I do take longer, but I will truthfully admit that when I thought I was fully recovered, I was not. Be well, my friend. Prayers are with you.

Well TC it’s so good to hear from you personally. I know what I’m about to suggest will sound too motherly, even though I think that I am around the same age as you, but maybe you should pair down some of your responsibilities, just temporarily, like doing the newsletter once every 2 weeks, or whatever, until you regain your strength. Just a slight modification can go a long way! My prayers will continue.
