More cool features of Windows 10

Windows 10, is, in our opinion, the best Windows ever – next to Windows XP. And, if Microsoft would only include an Outlook-Express email client with it instead of the Windows Mail app – which may be OK on a smart phone or a tablet but is really bad on  laptop or desktop computer – we think Windows 10 would be the best Windows ever. Ah, but as the Rollings Stones say – “You can’t always get what you want”.

There are a lot of cool things about Windows 10 besides the re-introduction of the Windows Start Menu – which we all know and love. We’re not going to go into detail here, because were going to cover a bunch of cool things all in one article.

The Windows 10 3D Builder. I just started playing around with it, but having finished anything with it, but it’s fun to play with. We will keep you updated on the Windows 10 3D Builder.

Windows 10 includes a spiffy alarm clock that you can customize with a greeting of your choice. Because I’m so beaten down by EB, I chose to hear a woman’s voice waking me up with “Good morning, Handsome!”. But I could make it say anything I wanted? See? Look below:

You have as many options with this alarm as you do with the one on your smart phone – and a lot more than you do with that old Westclock alarm clock you bought at Woolworth’s in 1957 for fifty-four cents and still use.

Included with the alarm clock comes the World Clock. Kind of self-explanatory. You can add as many cities as you like to keep track of the time anyplace in the world.

Everyone needs a stop watch right? If you do exercises you want to know long you went before your chest starts hurting. There’s a timer too.  I need one of those because if I’m one second late for work, EB canes me. So I give my self 11 minutes, 14 seconds to shower, get dress and down a half bottle of wine before work. 🙂

Alarm clock, World Clock, Timer, Stopwatch. All in one. Yippee!

Just in case you can’t see very well, you can make the numbers really big. See? Look up!

Windows 10 Calculator does more than just calculate. Well I mean it calculates but not just addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, tangents, cosines – EB cosines for me whenever I need to buy something big – sines – you all wish I’d sine out. This calculator does some need stuff, I tells ya. Lookie…below!

You don’t need me to tell you what most of that stuff is, you can read. Some of the stuff I would never use, but a lot of it I would use often, and maybe you would too.

There are lots of cool things in Windows 10. It’s the second best Windows ever, next to Windows XP. And if Microsoft would just include a modernized (but not ruined) version of Outlook Express in Windows 10 – it would, without a doubt – be the best Windows ever.

With or without an Outlook Express desktop email client, Windows 10 is going to be a winner.

We will have more cool stuff you’ll like about Windows 10 coming up. Thanks for reading and putting up with me 🙂

Microsoft has offered it as a download since 29 July 2015 – and we’ve featured at least 2 articles on this site how to download and install it any time you want.

Love how you guys go through all the cool things with Windows10 which I must say I am loving. Like you I agree with the Outlook Express could be included as an update would even be better. I just don’t like the new Outlook which replaces or supposed to replace Windows live mail. Why didn’t they use their resources for the Outlook Express and forget Windows Outlook.

Well done Microsoft and PLEASE INCLUDE a modernised Outlook Express.

I like putting up with you. You always tell it like it is….even in your essays. I agree about Windows 10 not having an email program like Outlook Express. I used to love to colour code my messages and categorizing them. I’m still trying to feel my way around Windows 10 just after actually beginning to LIKE Windows 8.1. I liked the way Windows 8.1 had the search feature just show up when you hovered the cursor on the far right. Now I have to click and click over and over to get to anything in Windows 10. Right now I am missing 8.1…..but hey! I’m not going back! I like to learn new things even though it seems to take forever….I’m 76 so forever isn’t as long as it used to be! BTW I’m still trying to find “Strawberry Morning”.

      Hi,
You can also go this page: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10 and download it directly. Your current system must either have Windows 7 or Windows 8 or windows 8.1 installed to Upgrade to Windows 10. Simply choose the same variant -32 or 64 bit which is currently installed and download it. Next, double click the download and it will do the rest by itself.
However, be aware that Windows 10 ignores your privacy, in fact it rather invades it fervently. Nevertheless, you can circumvent this by using proper settings

I too, am waiting for my “reserved” copy of windows 10. I am very optimistic about it working well as I feel very encouraged by what Cloudeight’s website says about it.

I downloaded my Windows 10 finally and was happy with it until I realized I lost my contacts and calendar. Well apparently I haven’t lost it completely but I cannot seem to find it and make it work like it should. Can anyone help me with that?

I love this Windows 10. Your tips on the Cool Features are great. This one about the calculator was really very useful for me now that you showed me what it can do. I am always converting Centimeters to inches and this does it as fast as you can type in the numbers. It also does kilometers to miles for trips. I love it. I did not know it could do this until I read about it in Cool Features. You two are the greatest. Thank you for all the info you provide us from one of your Life Members.

Thanks for all of your valued info on Windows 10! I am on reserve list for Windows 10. Here I am still on my Windows 7 Home Premium, on my HP 17 ” laptop which supposedly has 32 and 64 on it. When I go to download Windows 10 it sounds by something I read that I will have to choose between them. Is that true, because I have no idea which would be the right one ? Hee Hee ! Besides am still cautious until I find out what I lose by switching from Windows 7 to 10.
