Creepy…But True

Let’s take a break from computer tips and tricks, whiny computers, bad updates, and so on. Today we’re going to feature where computers are taking us – into the land of AI or Artificial Intelligence..

Take look at the faces below. They all have one thing in common, do you know that it is?

So, what do the six faces above have in common? None of them are real. All the faces above were generated by artificial intelligence.

You can generate an unlimited number of computer-generated faces each time you refresh your browser by visiting ThisPersonDoesNotExist.com.

ThisPersonDoesNotExist.com is a website powered by artificial intelligence that will create a random, computer-generated face each time you refresh your browser.

Cloudeight InfoAveThe face the left and all of the faces in the table above are fakes. All are thumbnails of the high-resolution, fake faces created by ThisPersonDoesNotExist.com using AI technology.

We found ThisPersonDoesNotExist.com fascinating, amazing and fun… in a creepy sort of way. Remember, in order to generate a new face, just refresh your browser. TIP: One of the ways you can refresh the page is to press the F5 key.

What do you think?

In the wrong hands, this could convince an uaware public that a country’s leader has announced we are at war when indeed we aren’t. Can you imagine an artificial president or prime minister and then the repercussions?

I agree with Lynn S. Also what about all the scammers that troll the games apps and pretend to be someone they are not. I think the whole cyberspace is going to hell in a handbasket!

You take putting faces like that scattered out on Facebook for instance and give them a good fake identity. Let them tell 80 percent truth and 20 percent lies and over time you have a real problem what is true and what is not. People will pass on unfortunately that news to someone else because they think that person or everyone they know should hear it. Now governments would not be thinking about that as a war tools in their chest would they.

Yes that above is an interesting site but should remind us how the net can be. Everything is not always as it seems.

Yes, actually that scenario that I spoke of is already do-able with the use of holograms that are already in use and have been demonstrated on TV, and the “progress” being made in the area of virtual reality imaging.
People often believe what they see and do what they are told without questioning, especially in a panicked situation.
At the risk of sounding like an old toot, I believe the mantra of the future unfortunately won’t be Spock’s “Live long and prosper” but “Believe no one!” 😮

This all goes back to what I was taught when I was in the military years ago. Do not believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. This will keep you alive on the missions we send you on. Decades later I still follow that rule. I’m still here.
