Google poised to ban IncrediMail again?
All Windows users

About 2/3 (67%) of IncrediMail’s income comes from Google searches and advertisements. So Google is IncrediMail’s lifeblood. But now it seems there are rumblings that Google may soon terminate its contract with Google, maybe as soon as January 31, 2013. (Google has banned IncrediMail before — for six months in 2010).

The speculation is that Google, whose policy is not to deal directly with companies who try to trick users, now may believe that IncrediMail (Perion) is doing just that with it’s IncrediMail email program and the bundled SmileBox (a photo-sharing adware app) and SweetPacks, which began as an instant-messaging application with a variety of emoticons, and has now added a registry scanner, a spelling and grammar checker, games, and a video converter.

Perion’s (IncrediMail’s) CEO Josef Mandelbaum basically called users of IncrediMail “complainers” and inferred they were ignorant (“some people just don’t know how to remove anything from their computer”) and also indicated IncrediMail targets “second-wave users”, i.e. old folks.

IncrediMail is nearly impossible to uninstall; it requires a litany of steps to remove it. It’s confusing for the average computer whether they’re a “second-wave” user or not. And removing IncrediMail does not remove IncrediBar or SmileBox or SweetPacks which have their own crippled uninstallers.

We stopped making stationery for IncrediMail a long time ago. We simply won’t directly or indirectly support a product that tricks users by bundling useless software with it. Further, we won’t support any product which summarily changes the users home page and default search engine without their consent or even their knowledge.

While IncrediMail may not be malware, yet, but it is trickware. It takes advantage of its users, by bundling programs and adding them users’ computers , by being very difficult to remove, by hijacking users’ homepage and preferred search engine, in short — Perion (IncrediMail) targets users who are more likely to be less computer savvy than younger computer users….

Get Windows Live Back

We can bring back Windows Mail in Windows 7 and Windows 8

Missing Windows Mail or Outlook Express since updating to Windows 7 or Windows 8? Are you putting off the update so you don’t lose your tried and true email program? We can fix that for you !

If you’re using Windows 7 or Windows 8 and you’ve been unhappy that Microsoft took away Outlook Express / Windows Mail — we have some good news for you. We are very excited and pleased to announce that we have developed a way to bring Windows Mail to Windows 7 and Windows 8.

We will connect to your Windows 7 or Windows 8 computer (and those of you who’ve used our Cloudeight Direct Computer Care Service know how easy that is) and get Windows Mail working for you, setup up to three email accounts, import your contacts and email messages from Windows Live Mail (if necessary).

If you’re not familiar with Windows Mail (not Windows Live Mail!), Windows Mail was the email program in Windows Vista that was an updated version of Outlook Express. You can do everything you did with Outlook Express with Windows Mail – including using Cloudeight Stationery (complete with scrolling and music — if you like). But more than that – you get a great email program that puts every other email program we’ve ever tried to shame.

We’ve been using Windows Mail on Windows 7 and Windows 8 for a while now — and all we can say is WOW! It’s good to have it back.

If you’re fed up with Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, IncrediMail and other email programs that don’t work like Outlook Express and Windows Mail do – you’re in luck. We can make Windows Mail work on your Windows 7 or Windows 8 computer and you can enjoy the very best email program ever — and ever have to settle for second-best again.

I am grateful to have been introduced to you, and apologize for not communicating sooner. However like you, I’ve had a lot on my plate. I am so excited to have Windows Mail back instead of using Windows Live Mail!! I was in awe watching you work so efficiently and quickly. Thank you for everything you offer us. Keep up the good work! Blessings, Glenda

A comment from Jane
With Darcy’s encouragement, I upgraded to Windows 8 from Windows 7. After it was done, I sent her an email to thank her for the encouragement & she told me she knew I could do it!!

I had installed Windows Mail on my Windows 7 computer and it was nerve-racking for me, so I purchased a key to have it installed for me on my Windows 8 operating system. Darcy sent me the hook-up link & started to work installing and setting up my email accounts. We were done in record time & she was the utmost professional in completing the task. We had a chance to chat while she was working & boy…some of the secrets she told about TC…just kidding!! Anyway, I just wanted to thank both of you for all you do and especially to Darcy for her speedy work on my computer. Thanks again!! Jane

If you are using Windows 7 or Windows 8, we can set up Windows Mail for you too! Get more information here.

Always keep your common sense with you when you’re on the Internet. Don’t be lured into installing free software or signing up for a free service if it seems too good to be true. Research it – google it! Read the privacy policy and/or Terms of Service or License Agreement of any free software or free service you’re considering. As a rule of thumb, free products and free services which have extremely long, difficult-to-understand agreements are most often deceptive in nature. Be careful and stay informed – you’ll be just fine. The internet is the greatest source of information ever – and it’s all right at your fingertips. I also LOVE the new Valentine stationery (and all the others you have introduced) but I can’t ever use any of it because I have Windows Live Mail. I know you can fix that but it is $$$ that I do not have. I continue to use and enjoy the “old stationery”,but would LOVE to be able to use all the new. Thank you for all you do!!
