Still Using Windows 11 24H2? Read This!

Quick heads-up, friends. Microsoft will stop releasing updates and security patches for Windows 11 version 24H2 on October 13th. That’s only a few days away.

Your PC won’t suddenly stop working, but after that date it won’t get security updates or fixes anymore. And that makes it a little riskier to use every month that goes by. Not what we want!

Which version are you on? Here’s how to check:

  • Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.
  • Click System, then scroll all the way down and click About.
  • Under Windows specifications, look at Version. If it says “24H2,” keep reading.

For your safety and security, it’s time to upgrade:

Windows 11 26H2 is out now, and that’s the version we recommend.

Here’s what to do…

  • Open Settings and click Windows Update.
  • Turn on “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available.”
  • When it says “Windows 11, version 26H2 is available,” go ahead and install it.

A few folks have run into minor hiccups with 26H2. But many users have found that the newest version of Windows helps Windows 11 run better on older computers.

So don’t wait until the last minute. Check your version today and update. Using an unsupported version of Windows leaves your computer vulnerable, and the longer you wait to upgrade, the more vulnerable it becomes.
