Unsubscribe the Easy Way

All computer users, all browsers

How many newsletters do you get you wish you didn’t? And how many times do you have to unsubscribe from a newsletter until you are finally unsubscribed?

I reference Land’s End. I once bought something from that site and stupidly agreed to subscribe to their newsletter. After trying to unsubscribe from their sometimes many-a-day “newsletters” I finally gave up and listed both the sender and the sender’s address as junk mail – so I don’t have to read their ten-a-day sales on everything always. However I’m still not unsubscribed. I can’t get loose from the Land’s End mail demon. I wish I would I have subscribed with a Gmail or Outlook.com address (I won’t use AOL or Yahoo mail for reasons I’m not going to get into here). Because then I could use a new service called Unsubscriber which works with Gmail, Outlook.com, AOL Mail and Yahoo Mail. All you have to do is move the offending newsletter to the special folder called Unsubscribe and Unsubscriber takes care of the dirty work. Sounds like something a lot of people could use…what about you?

Here’s the lowdown from the very laconic developers of Unsubscriber:

Unsubscriber is the simplest way to stop emails you don’t want. Just move unwanted messages to the Unsubscribe folder and we’ll take care of the rest. It’s a satisfying way to simplify your inbox.

If this sounds like something you could use, head over to http://www.otherinbox.com/unsubscriber/  and sign-up. Please, please, please don’t put InfoAve Premium or Information Avenue or Cloudeight Stationery newsletters in that folder. Honestly, if you want to unsubscribe we make it easy. We just hope you don’t want to leave us — we’ll cry and you’ll break our aging hearts.

UnUnsubscriber works with Gmail, Outlook.com (Hotmail/MSN/Live mail) Yahoo Mail, and AOL Mail.

Thank goodness something like this has come along! There are several subscriptions with which I could use the help of Unsubscriber. One is Land’s End which I get through my ISP email. I have a Gmail account too, so maybe I’ll try to ‘change’ my subscription with LE to my Gmail account, then use this new software to STOP those annoying emails. Good to know I’m not alone in being pestered to death by their emails. Although there are a few others, LE seems to be the worst. I will definitely try this; thanks for sharing with us!

My email is Windows Live–I was set to sign up but it not listed! Is it going to be at some point? Would love to have UNSUBSCRIBER!

    Thanks for another little “goodie”

I was hoping “Unsubscriber” would help me too. My e-mail program, (which I have been using for 10 years now), is Incredimail. Is there something else I can use? I’ve been “unsubscribing” each newsletter I don’t want anymore, but it doesn’t always work.

If you’re concerned about safety, security, and privacy, you wouldn’t be using IncrediMail. Those are my (TC’s) thoughts.

You seem to be the only one having problems signing up. We didn’t, and several readers here didn’t. Don’t you think we test things before we write about them? Have you ever considered perhaps the problem lies with your computer — perhaps it’s loaded with toolbars and malware? A site like this could not exist if no one could sign up. Right?
